We’ve recently been contacted by ReBoot North Yorkshire, who is coordinating an initiative to redistribute devices to people in need. You can donate laptops, smartphones and tablets. These are then sent out to help children to access online school lessons or homework, families with no or limited access to the internet, vulnerable people that may be socially isolated and older people to enable them to stay in touch with services, friends and family.
Please take a look at their website to find out what sort of equipment they are looking for, what to do before you donate it (such as removing personal data) and where you can drop it off (local libraries). If you have an item to donate but cannot get to the drop off point then please get in touch with us and we will arrange for a Lion to collect it from you.
