About our Community Fund Scheme

Our Contribution to the Community….

For the last two years, Malton, Norton and District Lions group have awarded a grant of up to £500 to ten local charities. The grants were introduced in our centenary year, and due to the high level of interest, Lion Steve Sidaway (our President in 2018-19) decided to offer them again. They are aimed at supporting smaller charities that contribute so much to their community. The grants are a good example of how we use funds raised throughout the year, such as the Santa Sleigh appeal to make a difference to local groups. Recipients applied for the grant by emailing malton.lions@btinternet.com and outlining their project.

Malton and Norton Lion’s motto is ‘We Serve’, and our panel of Trustees are able to respond quickly to urgent requests from individuals or groups, or through referrals from local government agencies.
